You'll need TweakUI, available free from Microsoft (see link below). Once it's installed, click Explorer in the tree pane, which will bring up a long list of checkboxes. Uncheck the following boxes:
I'll check BS Player for leaks later, when I have time. If you use it, you can turn off its internal document history from its control panel, but I'm not sure about temp files. Incidentally, if you download files using Firefox (perhaps others) the download will actually start before you choose the location and filename you want to use. It downloads to what it thinks is the temp directory, then moves the file when you've told it what you want to call it and where to put it. The deleted file in temp can easily be recovered. This can be fixed by using a script to change where FF thinks the temp directory is; you can then put it in an encrypted partition, or on a flash drive. If you need information, I can probably find it. Webmaster ![]() [@nonymouse] [Guardster] [SlySurf1] [SlySurf 2] [SlySurf3] [MyShield] [Proxify] [Anonimisierungsdienst] |
