You're welcome. Glad you got it sorted out. Now, while you have the system open anyway, get some canned air and give your system a thorough blowjob. (People who follow this forum will shake their heads and say "there he goes again", but it can't hurt and you'd be amazed - and appalled - at how much dust I've seen come out of some systems. Dust = heat and heat = a flaky system so a $1 can of compressed air is probably the cheapest insurance policy you can buy.) I can envision a scenario where the new memory (being denser) runs hotter than the old memory and the extra heat could be enough to affect your graphics. If this is the case, you should see the problem grow worse as the system gets hotter. If that is the case, you'll need to find some way to cool your system down. good luck Joe |
