I thought that Windows had something where I could see what items launch at start-up, and would allow me to disable them.

I'll download that program you suggested, Startup Control Panel, because your description of what it does is exactly what I am trying to do.

Thanks again, I'm sure it will help.

I'll have to wait a bit before I try that Autoruns, as I have to learn how to crawl before I run.

I am bookmarking it for later.
