The short answer is "yes". A more comprehensive answer would take a book. You would likely get anonymity by using a proxy, such as Tor, and an easy way to do that, as has been mentioned in a post below ("A note about some browsers.") is to install OperaTor. Not totally guaranteed anonymous, though. An alternative is to set up a fastmail account and use the web interface to connect to it.
